At our veterinary clinic, we follow the most recent vaccine guidelines to minimize over vaccination. However, we do offer vaccine titer blood tests to determine if pets need their vaccines boosted.

Titers are more expensive than routine vaccines but are a valuable test to determine if repeat vaccines are needed and can help minimize over vaccination.

• Titers are available for the following vaccines:
• Dog – parvovirus, distemper, and rabies
• Cat – rabies
• Over vaccination has been linked to auto-immune diseases in cats and dogs. Minimizing vaccines is always our first preference, but making sure your pet is protected is critical.
